Glebe gardens is a four-bed house that is situated in the rural village of Burghfield, with views of the fields from the back of the home you can often see red kites circling.
It is home to four fantastic service users who whilst may face challenges of Autism, learning disabilities, personality disorders and epilepsy are all a privilege to support. The home has been decorated according to the wishes and ideas of the services users, and each service user has their own room which has been decorated according to their individual taste. We have a lovely big garden which is an ideal place to relax and unwind.
We have regular visits from a massage therapist who offers a range of treatments including reflexology, head, neck and back massages. We have a sports therapist who visits every other week and engages the service users in a fitness programme for 45 minutes. Our day-care programme offers a range of activities that include; walks, trips out, cooking, social skills, fishing and arts and crafts.
We are within walking distance to local amenities and the service users regularly visit the local hairdressers, bakery, fruit and veg shop, post office, supermarket and gym where they are all well-known and made to feel part of the community.
We are on a direct bus route to Reading or Mortimer; Service users can also catch a bus to Mortimer train station and access Reading or Basingstoke using the train.
A warm and friendly atmosphere can be found at Glebe Gardens, friends and family are welcome to visit, hot drinks and snacks are always available. Glebe Gardens has a diverse and well-trained staff team who are dedicated to providing the best quality care to our service users.
